Place Standard Tool for Youth

Overview of Work Packages

The PST4Youth project is structured into five interconnected work packages that guide the development, testing, dissemination, and evaluation of the tool:

WP1 – Project Management

This work package ensures smooth coordination across the consortium, transparent communication, and effective administrative and financial management. It establishes the framework for collaboration, monitors progress, and guarantees that all activities meet the quality standards and timelines agreed upon by the partners.

WP2 – PST4Youth Tool Development

Focuses on adapting the Place Standard Tool for young people. Partners from youth work and public health collaborate to redesign the tool’s content, language, and visual structure so it becomes engaging and accessible for young users. Young people participate directly in the development process, contributing their perspectives and testing early versions. The work package also produces the educational handbook that supports youth workers in applying the tool in diverse settings.

WP3 – Qualification and Training

This work package equips youth workers, health professionals, and other stakeholders with the skills needed to use the PST4Youth tool effectively. It includes international training activities, national workshops, and peer-learning opportunities. Participants explore the tool, practice facilitation methods, and prepare for the pilot phases in their respective countries. WP3 ensures that the tool is not only well designed but also well understood and confidently applied.

WP4 – Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation

Has to strengthens the project’s visibility and ensures that its results reach relevant audiences. It includes the development and maintenance of the project website, regular news updates, newsletters, and social media communication. This work package also supports partners in sharing their national processes, promoting the tool, and preparing materials for long-term use, including a master presentation and dissemination strategy. The goal is to build awareness, support uptake, and ensure sustainability beyond the project’s end.

WP5 – Scientific Evaluation

The final work package provides an independent scientific assessment of the tool and the participatory processes used throughout the project. It examines how young people engage with the tool, how youth workers apply it, and how the tool influences local action. The evaluation generates evidence on the tool’s effectiveness and offers recommendations for future use, contributing to the credibility and long-term relevance of PST4Youth.
